A Hole in the Whole

This hand painted book project stems from an imaginative game of association using only pairs of identical circles, presented across double page spreads in inverted colour combinations, as a simple prompt. Over 37 pairs, I responded with the accompanying bits of text to the shape, size and colour of the circles and tried to make connections or surprising leaps between them. This project was inspired by ‘A moon or a button: A collection of first picture ideas’ by Ruth Krauss and Remy Charlip. Acrylic Painted book, 76 pages, 10.5 x 14.8 cm, 2024.
